New Day Mile have spent almost five years building their soundscape, which has brought them a loyal fanbase in Southern California ...and wherever there is internet access!
In 2008 the boys recorded their Damn Strate CD, with acclaimed engineer and producer Alan Sanderson (Elvis Costello, Rolling Stones, etc, etc) and shortly thereafter the band were invited to play the VIPER ROOM by Metal Sanaz.
In June 2009, The Mile opened up for Texas prog legends KINGS X to a packed house at BRICK by BRICK. The following month brought the band a San Diego Music Award Nomination for the Damn Strate CD. The band celebrated with a show at HOUSE OF BLUES for all their fans, friends and family.
Formed at the dawn of 2005, by Guitarist/vocalist James Brady and Drummer Frank Dolan, New Day Mile set out to write great songs that combine musical muscle with real hooks. At one of the band’s first shows they were described as “A local
band with international flair” by Indietude.com. In the past year the band have been featured in the San Diego Reader, Metal
Monthly, and Bohemio Radio and have had their songs spun on San Diego stations Rock 105.3 and 91x, and internet radio stations like Barebones Music Network.
With the addition of Bassist Dave "Almighty" Garcia last April, the Mile is New again. They plan to begin writing their next record this fall and have been approached for an upcoming movie soundtrack! Stay Tuned!
From here to where? Who knows? Stay tuned!
